Prime Minister appoints Deputy Minister of National Defense and many senior military officers
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed Decisions to appoint personnel of the Ministry of National Defense.
On June 28, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 1405/QD-TTg on the appointment of Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of Military Region 7 - to hold the position of Deputy Minister of National Defense.
In Decision No. 1406/QD-TTg dated June 28, 2025, the Prime Minister also appointed Major General Le Xuan The - Deputy Commander of Military Region 7 - to hold the position of Commander of Military Region 7.
In Decision No. 1409/QD-TTg dated June 28, 2025, the Prime Minister appointed Major General Vu Hong Son - Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Air Defense - Air Force - to hold the position of Commander of the Air Defense - Air Force.
In Decision No. 1408/QD-TTg dated June 28, 2025, the Prime Minister appointed Colonel Tran Thanh Hai - Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 5 - to hold the position of Deputy Commander of Military Region 5.
These decisions take effect from the date of signing (June 28, 2025).
