Time for teachers not to receive seniority allowances
The Ministry of Education and Training has answered questions about the time to calculate seniority allowances for teachers.
Ms. Be Thuy (Cao Bang) has relatives who are teachers at public educational institutions. From September 1989 to June 1992, this person studied at a university, from October 2005 to September 2007, and went to high school in Hanoi.
Ms. Thuy asked: "Do teachers receive seniority allowances during their studies?"

The Ministry of Education and Training responded to this issue on the Government Electronic Information Portal as follows:
The seniority allowance regime for teachers is implemented according to the provisions of Decree No. 77/2021/ND-CP dated August 1, 2021 of the Government. Accordingly, the subjects of application are teachers who are teaching and educating in public educational institutions and have directly taught and educated for 5 years (60 months or more).
Thus, during the time a teacher is in school (specialized, high school, concentrated), if he/she does not participate in teaching and education in educational institutions, he/she will not be eligible for seniority allowances for teachers.
