Tay Ninh organizes a visitation, memorial service and burial of 183 martyrs' remains
Tay Ninh - The province held a visitation, memorial service and burial of 183 remains of volunteer martyrs and Vietnamese experts who died in Cambodia.
On December 22, the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of Tay Ninh province solemnly held a visitation ceremony, sung and buried 183 martyrs' remains at the Doi 82 Martyrs' Cemetery (Tan Bien Commune) and the Vinh Hung - Tan Hung Martyrs' Cemetery (Vinh Hung Commune), demonstrating the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", deep gratitude for the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and the noble international affection.
At the 82-Hill Martyrs' Cemetery, Tay Ninh province held a visitation, memorial service and burial of 159 martyrs' remains. The ceremony was attended by Major General Tran Chi Tam - Standing Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 7, Head of the Steering Committee 515, Military Region 7, and representatives of the Office of the National Steering Committee 515.
On the side of the leaders of Tay Ninh province, there were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Manh Hung; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Pham Hung Thai; Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Doan Trung Kien; along with leaders and former leaders of the province through the periods, members of the Steering Committee and the Working Group of the Provincial Steering Committee 515; officers and soldiers of Teams K70, K71.
According to the Steering Committee of 515 provinces, in the first phase, the XXV (year 2025-2026 dry season), with the active coordination and support of the army, government and people of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the two Teams K70 and K71 searched, gathered and repatriated 156 remains of martyrs who died in Cambodia. The K71 team also searched for and collected 3 martyrs' remains in the country. The remains of martyrs buried in this crop have not yet been identified.
On the same day, December 22, at Vinh Hung - Tan Hung Martyrs' Cemetery, the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province held a visitation, memorial service and burial ceremony for the remains of 24 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Cambodia.
The ceremony was attended by former member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee (formerly) Truong Van Tiep; Colonel Thai Thanh Duc - Deputy Chief of Political Affairs, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee 515 of Military Region 7; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Han; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Nguyen Thanh Hai; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 515 Pham Tan Hoa, and representatives of departments, branches, sectors, armed forces and a large number of local people.
Carrying out the task of searching for and collecting the remains of volunteer martyrs and Vietnamese experts who died in Cambodia in the first phase, the 20th period, with a spirit of solidarity, responsibility and determination, Team K73, Tay Ninh Provincial Military Command searched for and collected 24 sets of martyrs' remains in Pailin and battambang provinces, Kingdom of Cambodia.
The visits, memorial service and burial of martyrs' remains at the two locations took place solemnly and emotionally. The delegates respectfully offered flowers and incense, expressing their deep gratitude for the great sacrifice of the heroic martyrs for the cause of national liberation, national defense and fostering solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia.
