Speaking at the meeting, the General Secretary affirmed that our Party always consistently identifies that ethnic work and the implementation of ethnic policies are the tasks of the entire Party, the entire people, the entire army, and the entire political system; developing ethnic minority and mountainous areas is a strategic, long-term task, of special importance to political stability, sustainable development, and consolidation of the great national unity bloc.

In recent years, under the leadership of the Party, ethnic work has achieved many important and comprehensive results in all fields.

The socio-economic infrastructure of ethnic minority and mountainous areas has been constantly improved; the material and spiritual life of the people has been significantly improved; the grassroots political system has been consolidated; national defense and security have been maintained; the people's trust in the Party and the State has become increasingly strong.

A young generation of ethnic minority intellectuals is gradually taking shape, affirming its role in the political system, in state management, science and technology and socio-economic development.

Creating a favorable environment for ethnic minority youth to study and start a business

To continue to care for, nurture and promote the role of the young generation of ethnic minorities in the new era of development, the General Secretary suggested that the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions continue to promote its role as a strategic advisory agency on ethnic work; preside over reviewing and perfecting policies for ethnic minorities and ethnic minority youth; build a mechanism to monitor, connect, and provide long-term support for children who have been honored; replicate good models and effective methods, especially in remote, isolated, border areas with very few people.

The Ministry of Education and Training must continue to consider the development of education in ethnic minority areas as a key task; focus on discovering and fostering talented students; investing in the system of boarding and semi-boarding schools; taking care of the teaching staff; preside over and coordinate with the Central Organizing Committee, the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, the Ministry of Home Affairs and relevant agencies to develop a Project for training, fostering, and creating a source of excellent ethnic minority cadres from the school; in the immediate future, research, selection, and granting scholarships for training abroad to a number of children who are honored.

Ministries, branches, localities, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations continue to closely coordinate, creating a favorable environment for ethnic minority youth to study, start a business, make a career, contribute and mature; linking training with the need for socio-economic development, protecting borders, preserving cultural identity and strengthening the great national unity bloc.
