Reviewing the operation and flood discharge procedures of hydroelectric reservoirs in Dak Lak
Dak Lak - Delegates recommended that the province resolutely direct the review and comprehensive assessment of the operation and discharge procedures of hydroelectric reservoirs.
At the 2nd session of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Council, delegates made many recommendations related to the socio-economic development situation.
Faced with the serious impacts of storm No. 13 and recent floods, delegates suggested that it is necessary to strengthen synchronous solutions to minimize risks, stabilize life and restore production for people in Dak Lak province.
The delegate suggested that the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee recommend competent authorities to strongly direct the review and comprehensive assessment of the operation and discharge procedures of hydroelectric reservoirs in the area. At the same time, reservoir management units need to provide timely and complete information on flood discharge and risk so that local authorities and people can proactively respond.
At the same time, the province needs to strengthen propaganda and guidance on flood prevention and control skills and clearly disseminate the flood discharge process of hydropower plants so that people can grasp and proactively prevent damage.
In addition to natural disaster prevention and control solutions, delegates suggested that the Provincial People's Committee recommend the banking sector to have timely support mechanisms and policies for businesses, business households and people affected by storms and floods. In particular, it is necessary to create conditions for accessing preferential capital sources, implementing debt extension, debt suspension and reducing lending interest rates to soon restore production and stabilize life.
The province needs to pay attention to balancing and allocating resources appropriately to carry out the transformation of the industrial sector structure, creating conditions for people to participate in production and develop the economy in accordance with the characteristics of each region and each field. Especially prioritize communes and wards that were heavily affected by storm No. 13 and recent severe floods, contributing to the recovery and sustainable development of the local socio-economy.
