Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh works at Lam Dong aluminum Company
Lam Dong - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh led the working delegation to work at Lam Dong aluminum Company - TKV located in Bao Lam 1 commune.
On August 19, comrade Vu Hong Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, and the working delegation of the National Assembly's Economic and Financial Committee worked with Lam Dong aluminum Company - TKV located in Bao Lam 1 commune (Lam Dong province).
Reporting to Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh and the working delegation, Director of Lam Dong aluminum Company - TKV Nguyen Van Phong summarized the Lam Dong aluminum Bauxite Complex Project, approved by the Politburo in the Resolution of the 10th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Regarding the production results in the first 7 months of 2025, Director of Lam Dong aluminum Company Nguyen Van Phong informed: Real ore mining in the first 7 months reached 2,776,200 tons, equal to 64.6% of the plan; converted alumina production reached 442,100 tons, equal to 68.0% of the plan. By the end of July, the Company had consumed 407,500 tons of alumina, equal to 67.9% of the annual plan.
It is expected that in 2025, the output of alumina consumption will reach 685,000 tons, equal to 114.2% of the plan. Thereby, the revenue for the first 7 months reached VND 2,255.6 billion, equal to 65.6% of the annual plan; the expected revenue in 2025 is VND 3,845.0 billion, equal to 111.7% of the plan".
In the first 7 months, Lam Dong aluminum Company earned a profit of 75.4 billion VND, equal to 228.5% of the 2025 plan. The company creates jobs for 1,336 officers and employees, with an average income of 17.9 million VND/person/month.
However, the company still faces some difficulties related to site clearance and land acquisition for ore mining. The company's leaders hope to receive support from the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, relevant departments, branches and the Bao Lam 1 Commune People's Committee to continue to support site clearance to ensure production and business activities.
Comrade Vu Hong Thanh, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, highly appreciated the results that Lam Dong aluminum Company - TKV has achieved in the past time. Therefore, comrade Vu Hong Thanh requested TKV Group to continue to thoroughly grasp and direct Lam Dong aluminum Company to perform well the tasks to achieve and exceed the production and business plan set for 2025.
TKV Group must regularly inspect and evaluate the safety level of red mud ponds; effectively implement occupational safety and hygiene. Focus on taking care of the material and spiritual lives of workers so that they can stay with the unit for a long time and contribute to the unit.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh suggested that the People's Committees of Lam Dong province and Bao Lam 1 commune pay attention to and support Lam Dong aluminum Company in effectively carrying out site clearance for land acquisition to ensure the area for mineral exploitation. Thereby, promoting the advantage of Lam Dong province as the largest bauxite center in the country.
On this occasion, Comrade Vu Hong Thanh, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly and the working delegation inspected and surveyed the bauxite mine area; inspected the packaging area of the Alumina Factory Complex and the red mud lake.
