Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong inspects election security in Can Tho

Continuing the supervision and inspection activities of ensuring security, order, and social safety in the election of National Assembly deputies (NA deputies) of the 16th term and People's Council (PC) deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term, the inspection and supervision delegation of the Sub-committee for Ensuring Security, Order, and Social Safety under the National Election Council, led by Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong, had a working session with the Mobile Police Department (Can Tho City Police), Reconnaissance Reconnaissance Company 1 (Can Tho City Military Command).

Supervising and inspecting the performance of tasks of the Mobile Police Department, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong requested that the Unit Command conduct drills on the performance of combat tasks, from alarm to the stage where officers and soldiers get on vehicles, preparing for the goal of performing tasks according to the training plan set out.

After watching the drill, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong praised the combat readiness of the Mobile Police force of Can Tho City Police; at the same time, he noted some contents that need to be further improved to absolutely ensure security, order, and social safety to serve the election.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong clearly stated that the entire force needs to focus highly, closely follow the guiding documents of the Central Government, the National Election Council, the Ministry of Public Security and Can Tho city, and successfully complete the assigned tasks, especially in the peak period of the upcoming election.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly requested that the unit continue to practice, closely follow the plan, clearly assign people and work; effectively coordinate with relevant units, especially grassroots security forces, contributing to excellently completing the task of ensuring security and social order both before, during and after the election.

At Mechanized Reconnaissance Company 1, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong requested that the force conduct alarms, perform tasks to combat sites as well as ensure safety for forces and people. Inspect military uniforms, vehicles, and equipment of officers and soldiers performing tasks to ensure security and social safety to serve the election.

Concluding the supervision and actual inspections at the Mobile Police Department (Can Tho City Police) and Motor Reconnaissance Company 1 (Can Tho City Military Command), Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong praised and acknowledged the efforts of officers and soldiers of the two units, especially the commanders of the two units in coordinating operations, protecting security and order, and social safety to serve the election.

In the coming time, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong requested that the two units continue to uphold the spirit of combat readiness; firmly grasp the goals and tasks; focus on training, be on duty 24/24, ready to receive and perform assigned tasks, absolutely ensure security and social order in the area, contributing to the successful organization of the election of National Assembly Deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels, term 2026 - 2031.
