Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan visits and wishes Tet at An Giang Provincial Military Command

On the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, on January 31, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and the working delegation of the Presidential Office visited, wished Tet and worked with the Provincial Military Command of An Giang.

Receiving the working delegation were representatives of the heads of Military Region 9 Command, leaders of An Giang province and commanders of armed forces (LLVT) stationed in the province.

At the working session, Major General Nguyen Van Nganh - Commander of An Giang Provincial Military Command - reported on the results of task implementation of the Provincial Armed Forces in the past time. Accordingly, the Provincial Armed Forces have proactively advised the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee to lead and direct the effective implementation of military, national defense and security tasks; building increasingly solid defense areas. Units strictly maintain combat readiness, closely coordinate with forces to firmly grasp the situation, protect the safety of holidays, Tet, important political events; maintain political security, social order and safety, border and island sovereignty.

Along with that, the Provincial Military Command synchronously deploys force building, training, recruitment, and logistics - technical assurance; actively participates in mass mobilization work, military rear policies, helping people overcome natural disasters and stabilize their lives, contributing to firmly consolidating the "people's heart formation" in the area. In 2026, the Provincial Military Command will continue to improve overall quality and combat readiness; strengthen coordination to maintain national defense and security, and ensure the safety of important political events.

Speaking at the working session, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan acknowledged, praised and highly appreciated the results and achievements that the armed forces of An Giang province have achieved in the past time; and affirmed that An Giang is an area with a particularly important strategic position in terms of national defense, security, and foreign affairs in the Southwest region.

The Vice President requested that in the coming time, the Provincial Armed Forces continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress; improve the overall quality and combat readiness; strengthen coordination between forces, maintain political security, social order and safety, and not be passive or surprised in any situation. At the same time, pay attention to building a people's heart battleground, effectively implementing mass mobilization work, military rear policies, and taking care of the material and spiritual life of officers and soldiers, especially during the traditional Tet holiday of the nation.

On the occasion of the 2026 Binh Ngo New Year, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan cordially inquired, encouraged and sent best New Year wishes to officers and soldiers of the Armed Forces of An Giang province; wishing units to continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, proactiveness, creativity, and excellently complete all assigned tasks, contributing to maintaining a peaceful and stable environment to build and develop An Giang province to become increasingly prosperous and beautiful.
