Reporting to the delegation, the leader of the People's Committee of Dur Kaml commune said that from November 17 to 21, heavy to very heavy rain combined with increased water flow from upstream to the Krong Ana river caused flooding in many areas.

Specifically, Krong hamlet was completely isolated with 93 households, 504 people; Buon Triet hamlet was isolated with 363 households, 1,554 people; a total of more than 140 households in these two areas were deeply flooded.

The estimated agricultural damage includes about 15 hectares of rice, 5 hectares of coffee, 1 hectare of pepper, 700 areca trees, 10 hectares of sweet potatoes and more than 130 hectares of fish ponds.

The Buon Triet dike system is severely damaged, some sections are seriously eroded, high risk of dike breaks; many irrigation canals in Krong village are sunken and damaged; many traffic routes are deeply flooded, at risk of landslides.

In this situation, the People's Committee of the commune has proactively evacuated people to safe places, supported property protection, and warned of dangerous areas. More than 200 people in Krong village and 100 people in Buon Triet village (high-risk households) have been evacuated.

On November 21, more than 250 people in Krong village were deployed at 3 concentrated locations, ensuring health and living conditions. In Buon Triet village, more than 150 people have been moved to higher ground and arranged to live in households, without the need for a gathering point.

In Krong Ana commune, about 300 houses were flooded, but thanks to proactive relocation, all assets were guaranteed safety.

Heavy rain caused some roads and roads in the fields to be flooded, landslides on the inter-commune road section through Cu Prao Pass; 40 hectares of crops and perennial trees being harvested were flooded; 1.5 hectares of fish ponds were flooded, 5 fish cages were damaged.

At the places visited, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Do Huu Huy shared the difficulties and losses of the people and requested the communes to absolutely not be subjective, regularly update the flood situation, applying the "4 on-site" motto.
