Zero-dollar market spreads love in Lam Thanh
Nghe An - "0-dong Fair" helps people in difficult circumstances in Lam Thanh commune celebrate a warm and joyful Tet.
On the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, on February 1st, Lam Thanh Commune Police coordinated with Bach Gia One Member Limited Liability Company to organize the "0-dong Fair" program, supporting households in difficult circumstances in the commune.
The program is aimed at poor and near-poor households and families affected by natural disasters, contributing to helping people celebrate the traditional Tet in a warmer and more fulfilling atmosphere.
Attending the program were leaders of Lam Thanh Commune People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, Commune Police, Commune Military Command and a large number of officials, soldiers and local people.
The "0 VND Fair" is arranged with nearly 10 booths with many essential items serving Tet activities such as warm blankets, clothes, rice, instant noodles, fish sauce, cooking oil, confectionery, vegetables and other necessities. More than 100 households in difficult circumstances were given shopping vouchers at "0 VND" prices, thereby proactively choosing items suitable for their needs.
The total value of gifts at the fair is estimated at more than 100 million VND, mobilized from the joint contributions of officers and soldiers of Lam Thanh Commune Police and Bach Gia Automobile One Member Limited Company.
In addition to supporting essential goods, the program is also associated with cultural and entertainment activities during Tet such as banh chung wrapping contests, tug-of-war, blindfolded duck catching..., attracting a large number of people to participate, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere in the days leading up to Tet.
On this occasion, Lam Thanh Commune Police also presented many gifts in cash, Tet gifts and 3 wheelchairs to people with disabilities in particularly difficult circumstances in the area.
Speaking at the program, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hoang - Head of Lam Thanh Commune Police said that besides the task of ensuring security and order for people to enjoy Tet and welcome Spring safely, the Commune Police force always pays attention to social security activities, showing the spirit of "serving the people", especially during Tet and Spring.
