Mr. Nguyen Van Quang is Head of the Steering Committee for the merger of Quang Nam and Da Nang
The two localities of Da Nang and Quang Nam officially established the Steering Committee for the arrangement and merger of administrative units of Quang Nam province and Da Nang city.
The Da Nang City Party Committee officially issued a Decision to establish a Steering Committee for the arrangement and merger of administrative units of Quang Nam province and Da Nang city. This Steering Committee is assigned the task of developing a "Project to reorganize and merge administrative units of Quang Nam province and Da Nang city" including the establishment of administrative agencies and the system of Party organizations, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, based on the conclusions of the Politburo and the Central Party Secretariat.
Mr. Nguyen Van Quang - Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee - is the Head of the Steering Committee as Head of the Committee. The key leadership team includes 6 Deputy Heads of the Committee: Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet - Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung - Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Nam province; Mr. Le Van Dung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province; Mr. Le Trung Chinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang city; Mr. Ngo Xuan Thang - Chairman of the People's Council of Da Nang city.
The Steering Committee has a total of 27 members, including key officials of the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee.
The Steering Committee will be responsible for assigning tasks to members, establishing working groups, developing working regulations, work plans, and leading and implementing to ensure the quality and progress of the project. The activities of the Steering Committee are on a part-time basis, members perform tasks assigned by the Head of the Committee.
The Organizing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee will be the standing agency of the Steering Committee, closely coordinating with the Organizing Committee of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee in advising and performing tasks. The establishment of the Steering Committee took place after the Resolution of the 11th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee decided to merge Quang Nam province and Da Nang city into Da Nang city, with the political - administrative center located in the current Da Nang city.
