Removal of Vice Chairman of Long Xuyen City People's Council

On the morning of February 20, at the 14th session (special session) of the People's Council of Long Xuyen City, term XII, 2021-2026, the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Long Xuyen City was agreed to be dismissed. Long Xuyen City Party Secretary Huynh Quoc Thai attended.

Under the direction of Standing Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the Long Xuyen City People's Council Vo Thien Hao, the Long Xuyen City People's Council agreed to dismiss Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy from the position of Vice Chairman of the Long Xuyen City People's Council, term XII, 2021-2026.

It is known that Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy was previously terminated by the Standing Committee of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee according to her wishes, starting from February 1, 2025.

Also at this session, the People's Council also voted to approve many important contents. Including the approval of the merger of the Department of Labor - Trade and Social Affairs with the Department of Home Affairs into the Department of Home Affairs; the merger of the Department of Economics with the Department of Urban Management into the Department of Economics, Infrastructure and Urban Areas; reorganization of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment into the Department of Agriculture and Environment; reorganization of the Department of Culture and Information into the Department of Culture, Science and Information; reorganization of the Office of the City People's Council and People's Committee, the Department of Education and Training.
