Pension and social insurance benefits are about to be paid in 2 months
The Prime Minister requested the payment of two months of pension and social insurance allowance (February and March) in the February payment period so that people can celebrate Tet.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed and issued Directive No. 36/CT-TTg on organizing the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo in 2026 with joy, health, safety and savings.
In the directive, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Finance to direct the Vietnam Social Insurance to effectively implement the settlement and payment of regimes on social insurance, unemployment insurance, and health insurance to ensure full and timely payment.
Implement the combined payment of two months of pension and social insurance allowance (February and March 2026) in the payment period of February 2026 to create conditions for policy beneficiaries to enjoy spring and celebrate Tet.
The Ministry of Home Affairs shall preside over and coordinate with ministries, branches and localities to promote digital applications, ensure smooth handling of administrative procedures during the Tet holiday; ensure 100% of essential online public services operate stably and without interruption.
There is a plan for 24/7 technical support, especially for the group of procedures related to residence registration, household registration, healthcare, labor, employment, social assistance and production and business sector for Tet.
Timely and fully implementing policies and regimes for people with revolutionary contributions; social protection beneficiaries during the Lunar New Year; increasing the payment of non-cash social security benefits to those who already have accounts, ensuring payment work is done accurately, quickly and conveniently.
Implement activities to care for the spiritual and material lives of the people, especially those in difficult circumstances.
Guiding and urging the implementation of regimes and policies related to the legitimate rights of employees, ensuring that employees are fully paid salaries and bonuses; directing units to fully implement policies and regimes for social insurance and unemployment insurance; proactively implementing measures to prevent and resolve labor disputes and strikes that may occur during the Lunar New Year.
The Ministry of Construction coordinates to effectively implement solutions to control, reduce traffic accidents and overcome traffic congestion, especially routes connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City areas, major traffic hubs ( terminals, airports, ports, etc.) in the spring festival area.
Request transport units to comply with traffic rules, prevent accidents on steep mountain passes, at railway crossings, regularly check, prevent drivers of transport business from violating alcohol and drug concentrations;
Strengthen security and order at airports, terminals, and bus stations; strictly handle violations of carrying more people than prescribed, and increase ticket prices in violation of regulations.
The People's Committees of provinces and cities, based on the practical situation, capabilities and conditions of the locality, decide to organize fireworks displays to celebrate the New Year, creating a united, joyful and exciting atmosphere among the people but ensuring safety and economy in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 137/2020/ND-CP on the management and use of fireworks.
Monitor and grasp the situation of paying salaries and bonuses to employees of enterprises, especially employees who have lost their jobs or are temporarily unemployed, to have timely support solutions.
The heads of agencies, units and organizations are responsible for any violations of the law in their areas and fields.
