Pension, social insurance allowance, and Lunar New Year gifts payment schedule 2026

To implement the work of paying Tet gifts in a timely, safe, complete and correct manner to beneficiaries, the City Social Insurance and the Post Office pay Tet gifts of the Hanoi People's Committee to beneficiaries of monthly pensions and allowances for loss of working capacity (MSLD) in cash or through accounts in the same pension payment period in February 2026.

Implementing Plan No. 341/KH-UBND dated December 15, 2025 of the Hanoi People's Committee (UBND) on giving gifts for the Lunar New Year 2026, the City Social Insurance issued Official Letter No. 3179/BHXH - KHTC dated December 31, 2025 guiding the list of Tet gifts.

The beneficiaries of the gifts are those receiving monthly pensions and allowances for workers according to the February 2026 payment list of the City Social Insurance agency.

Pensioners and monthly employees who receive pensions and allowances from other provincial social insurance agencies, from the Military Social Insurance and the People's Public Security Social Insurance will transfer to register and receive pensions at the City Social Insurance agency before February 1, 2026.

Employees submitting applications for pension regimes have been received, resolved and issued by the City Social Insurance Agency before February 1, 2026.

The gift for each person is 300,000 VND.

The gift-giving funds are transferred by the People's Committees of wards and communes to the accounts of social insurance agencies opened at commercial banks to organize the gift-giving.

The grassroots social insurance agency coordinates with the People's Committees of wards and communes in the area to manage and receive Tet gift funds before January 20, 2026 to transfer funds to the City Social Insurance and central post offices to promptly organize Tet gift payments.

The City Social Insurance will base on the list of pensioners and social insurance beneficiaries in February 2026 to make a list of gifts for the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo in 2026 (phase 1) on January 27, 2026 for those who are receiving monthly pension and social insurance benefits and new approved cases, transferred from other provincial Social Insurance, from the Military Social Insurance and the People's Public Security Social Insurance received by the City Social Insurance agency and issued a decision to enjoy the regime before January 26, 2026.

Make a list of gifts for the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo in 2026 (phase 2) on February 2, 2026 for those receiving newly approved monthly pensions and social insurance benefits, transferred from other provincial social insurance, from the Military Social Insurance and the People's Public Security Social Insurance with a request to receive monthly pensions and social insurance benefits from February 2, 2026 onwards, which have been accepted by the city's Social Insurance agency and issued a decision to enjoy the regime from January 26, 2026 to before February 1, 2026.

The City Social Insurance and the Central Post Office organize the payment of Tet gifts from the Hanoi People's Committee to pensioners and monthly employees through accounts or in cash at the same pension payment period in February 2026.
