Solemn reception ceremony of General Secretary To Lam's State visit to Cambodia
Samdech Techo Hun Sen went to the parking lot to welcome General Secretary To Lam with warm hugs and handshakes during the official welcoming ceremony.
Immediately after arriving in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on the morning of February 6, the official welcoming ceremony for General Secretary To Lam was solemnly held at the Royal Palace.
Also attending the welcoming ceremony were Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the high-level Vietnamese delegation.
Authorized by King of Cambodia Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen chaired the official welcoming ceremony.
On the way from the airport to the Imperial Palace, thousands of people carried photos of General Secretary To Lam and King Norodom Sihamoni, waving flags and flowers warmly to welcome them.
The motorcade carrying General Secretary To Lam entered the Imperial Palace, Samdech Techo Hun Sen went to the parking place to welcome General Secretary To Lam with warm hugs and handshakes and invited General Secretary To Lam to the podium of honor.
Military bands performed the national anthems of the two countries. Samdech Techo Hun Sen invited General Secretary To Lam to review the honor guard of the Royal Cambodian Army and together introduced the composition of both sides present at the welcoming ceremony.
Over the past time, Vietnam-Cambodia relations have achieved very positive and substantial results. Political trust between the two countries has been strengthened, creating a solid foundation for overall direction for cooperation in all fields.
Leaders of the two countries regularly visit each other and have meetings and exchanges, contributing to consolidating political trust and setting directions to remove difficulties and obstacles in cooperation, improving the effectiveness of bilateral coordination.
Close defense and security cooperation is a solid pillar in the relationship between the two countries. Economic, trade and investment cooperation has made substantial progress.
Through educational activities, cultural exchanges, and local twinning, the understanding and close feelings between the people of the two countries, especially the young generation, are increasingly strengthened, becoming a solid foundation for friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia...
