Lai Chau requests full payment of Tet bonuses to workers

Recently, Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee has issued a Directive on organizing the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo in 2026.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned tasks to departments, branches, sectors and localities, focusing on hot issues that directly affect the lives of people and workers.

The Department of Industry and Trade is required to grasp market developments, not to let shortages and supply disruptions cause unreasonable price increases. Strengthen supply-demand connectivity and organize programs to bring Vietnamese goods to rural, remote, isolated and border areas, helping ethnic minorities access quality goods at stable prices.

The Market Management Force will launch a peak period of action against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods. Speculative acts, hoarding, and price increases that pressure consumers will be handled.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Home Affairs to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to guide and urge the implementation of policies and regimes for workers.

Units and enterprises in the area must ensure full and timely payment of salaries and Tet bonuses. The province requires proactive grasping the situation, preventing and promptly resolving possible labor disputes, not allowing strikes to affect security and order and the atmosphere of Tet.

Policy beneficiaries, meritorious people, poor households and people in difficult circumstances must be taken care of carefully. The payment of social security benefits is encouraged to be made without cash to ensure speed and accuracy.

The Department of Construction is responsible for regulating transportation, ensuring "not letting passengers return home late to celebrate Tet due to lack of vehicles".

The provincial police will launch a peak period of attack and suppression of crimes; strictly handle violations of alcohol and drug concentrations when driving and prevent the illegal use of firecrackers.

The Provincial People's Committee also requires heads of agencies and units to take responsibility if there are violations of the law in their areas and fields of responsibility.
