Results of the meeting to discuss the merger of the three provinces of Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc and Hoa Binh

The conference was chaired by Mr. Bui Minh Chau - Secretary of Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee; Dang Xuan Phong - Secretary of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Phi Long - Secretary of Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee.

At the conference, Phu Tho Provincial Party Secretary Bui Minh Chau affirmed that the merger of the three provinces of Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, and Hoa Binh into Phu Tho province is a correct policy and an important preparation step of the Party Central Committee in the context of the country entering a new era, an era of national development.

According to Mr. Chau, in order for the merger to be carried out on time and according to regulations, it is necessary to establish a Steering Committee and a working group to assist the Steering Committee for the merger of the three provinces of Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc and Hoa Binh.

Speaking at the conference, Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Secretary Dang Xuan Phong and Hoa Binh Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Phi Long - both agreed with the establishment of a steering committee and a working group to merge Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc and Hoa Binh provinces.

At the same time, there was a high consensus on a number of important tasks in implementing the development of the project to merge the three provinces. In particular, ensuring the principle of placing the common development of the new province after the merger to the highest level, ensuring solidarity and unity. At the conference, leaders of the three provinces listened to the draft Joint Resolution of the Standing Committees of Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc and Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committees on the establishment of a steering committee for the implementation of the merger of provinces and a working group for the steering committee for the implementation of the merger.

Specifically, the Steering Committee for the merger of 3 provinces is responsible for directing the development and implementation of the merger project of 3 provinces according to regulations and instructions from competent authorities, and the working group is responsible for researching, advising on the development and implementation of the merger projects in accordance with the prescribed outline, subjects, content, and time.

In particular, the most important thing is the preparation for the Party Congress after the merger and consolidation of the document subcommittee, focusing on the draft document, determining the goals, directions, tasks and solutions in the new term.

At the conference, leaders of the three provinces of Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc and Hoa Binh paid special attention to the policy of supporting accommodation and means of transportation for cadres, civil servants and public employees and the plan to arrange commune-level administrative units and name new commune-level administrative units. At the same time, it is necessary to take advantage of district-level headquarters to arrange workplaces for central communes and focus on economic development to avoid waste.
