Lao Cai - In 2025, Lao Cai International Border Gate Customs collected VND1,212.5 billion from the state budget, the highest collection rate since 2020.

According to the Customs Branch of Region VII, by December 31, 2025, the budget revenue of Lao Cai International Border Gate Customs reached 97% of the target assigned by the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, reaching 115.4% of the target assigned by the Customs Department.

In particular, in the last 4 months of 2025, revenue reached VND451.7 billion, up 68% over the same period in 2024 and up 129.7% over 2023, showing strong growth in import-export activities in the area.

The main export items include dragon fruit, durian, fabric, cassava, wood, coffee, shoes; mainly imported items include vegetables, machinery, mechanical equipment, steel, chemicals, fertilizers - serving production, construction and development of the local economy.
