Hai Phong - By the end of December 25, the City Election Committee received a nomination for the 16th National Assembly.
On the afternoon of December 26, information from the Department of Home Affairs said that Hai Phong has 7 units to elect National Assembly deputies; the number of elected National Assembly deputies is 19. Of which, 5 units elect 3 deputies and 2 units elect 2 National Assembly deputies.
The city has determined and announced 18 units to elect People's Council delegates; the number of People's Council delegates elected is 85; there are 13 units electing 5 delegates, 5 units electing 4 delegates.
For the People's Council delegates at the commune level, the Election Committee of 113 communes, wards and special zones has determined and announced 716 units to elect People's Council delegates at the commune level. The list of voting units and the number of elected delegates in each voting unit for the People's Council delegates at the commune level for the 2026 - 2031 term have been approved and announced.
Regarding the receipt of nomination documents for National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels, the nomination documents for National Assembly deputies and City People's Council deputies are received at the City Department of Home Affairs - the standing agency of the Election Committee. The time to receive documents is from December 15, 2025 to February 1, 2026. By December 25, the City Election Committee will receive a nomination for a 16th National Assembly delegate.

A new point in this election period is the list of voters of the People's Committees at the commune level, Hai Phong City Police have coordinated with the Department of National Assembly Police on Social Order (C06) - Ministry of Public Security to organize a training conference to guide the use of voter management software; guide regulations and procedures related to making voter lists, printing cards to serve voters to serve the election work to the People's Committees and the police forces of communes, wards and special zones. From December 26, the software system will officially operate. The commune-level police and the commune-level People's Committees will carry out the procedures for reviewing and making voter lists according to the law.
