Hai Phong puts 4 projects under the City's Anti-Corruption Steering Committee for monitoring and handling
Hai Phong - On the afternoon of April 16, the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity of Hai Phong City (Steering Committee) held its 10th meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Le Tien Chau, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the City National Assembly Delegation, Head of the Hai Phong City Steering Committee.
Accordingly, in the first quarter of 2025, the Steering Committee has advised the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong City Party Committee to issue documents specifying the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity, and the conclusions of the General Secretary and Head of the Central Steering Committee; perfect the Steering Committee and amend and supplement the Regulations on functions, tasks, powers, and organizational apparatus. The work of preventing, detecting and handling corruption, waste and negativity has been implemented synchronously and effectively.
The City Party Committee's Inspection Commission has inspected 2 Party organizations under the City Party Committee when there were signs of violations, considered disciplining 1 Party organization and disciplining 1 individual; Accelerated the settlement of cases and incidents, especially cases and incidents under the supervision of the City Party Committee Standing Committee and the Steering Committee for monitoring and directing handling.
The Hai Phong City Party Committee has completed the proposal of the Central Steering Committee to remove 4 cases and incidents from the scope of monitoring and direction, including: The case of Abusing position and power while performing official duties occurred in Cat Ba National Park; The case of Abuse of power while performing official duties occurred in Hung Dao commune, Kien Thuy district (now Hung Dao ward, Duong Kinh district); The incident occurred at Our City Urban Area (Duong Kinh district) and the incident with signs of violations at Polyeste Dinh Vu Fiber Factory.
Up to now, Hai Phong City has issued a document from the Central Internal Affairs Commission agreeing with the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to remove the above 4 cases and incidents from the scope of monitoring and direction for handling.
The Hai Phong City Party Committee also proposed that the Central Steering Committee remove the case related to the Hon Dau International Tourist Area Project from the scope of the City Party Committee Standing Committee's monitoring and direction for handling. Remove the case of Abuse of position and power to appropriate property occurring at the Road Mechanical Driving Training and Testing Center under the Central College of Transport 2 from the scope of the City Steering Committee's monitoring and direction of handling...
In the second quarter of 2025, the Steering Committee will continue to innovate the content and methods, improve the effectiveness of the Steering Committee's activities, continue to focus on directing Party committees, Party organizations and mass organizations to effectively carry out a number of key tasks: Timely concretize the Central's policies, solutions, conclusions and instructions, the conclusions of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity; synchronously implement solutions to prevent and combat corruption, waste and negativity; build a culture of integrity, self-awareness, voluntary non-corruption, waste and negativity among cadres, Party members and people.
