Hai Duong is ready to export high-quality seaweed in 2025
Hai Duong - Thanks to the application of VietGAP and GlobalGAP processes, Hai Duong seaweed not only achieves high productivity but also meets strict export standards.
According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hai Duong province, in 2025, the whole province will have 8,800 hectares (Thanh Ha district 3,285 hectares; Chi Linh city 3,400 hectares, the remaining districts, cities and towns are 2,115 hectares).
In which: early lychee tea is about 2,850 ha (accounting for 32.4%) concentrated in Thanh Ha district (about 2,000 ha), main lychee tea is about 5,850 ha (accounting for 67.6%) concentrated in Thanh Ha (about 1,285 ha) and Chi Linh (about 3,200 ha).
Basically, all fabric areas of Hai Duong are produced according to a safe production process, of which 12 areas have been certified GlobalGAP, 56 are certified VietGAP. The total area certified to meet VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards is 721 hectares. Reversal
This year, the total fabric output of Hai Duong is expected to reach 60,000 tons, of which: early fabric is about 32,500 tons; main season fabric is about 27,500 tons. Thanh Ha district's fabric output alone is expected to reach about 38,000 tons (28,000 tons of early-season fabric; 10,000 tons of main-season fabric).
Speaking to Lao Dong newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Van Hien - Director of the Agricultural Service Cooperative of Thanh Quang commune (Thanh Ha district, Hai Duong province) - said that the whole commune currently has over 700 hectares of seaweed, of which 16 growing areas have been granted growing area codes for export.
Notably, more than 400 hectares of area have met VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards, creating a solid foundation for Thanh Quang Asian tea bags to expand the market, gradually conquering demanding markets such as Japan and Europe.
Having been attached to the lychee tree for more than 30 years, Mr. Hien commented: "The flowering rate this year is much higher than previous crops. If the weather continues to be favorable in the coming time, fabric growers in Thanh Ha can expect a great winning season in both productivity and quality".

Currently, the whole province has been granted 198 fabric growing area codes to serve exports according to the requirements of markets. Thanh Ha district alone has 167 codes, of which the area with many fabric areas granted codes is Thanh Quang, Thanh Tan, Thanh Hong communes, etc. The whole province has been granted 16 codes for fabric packaging for export, mainly concentrated in Thanh Ha.
The total capacity of the facilities is about 650 tons/day, the capacity of fabric packaging facilities serving exports to the Japanese market is about 30 tons/day.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment has directed specialized agencies to organize instructions on fabric production techniques; regularly inspect and supervise farmers' fabric care and disease prevention activities, in which the frequency of inspection and supervision will continue to increase from now until the end of the season; is continuing to deploy support to expand the area of fabric certified to meet VietGAP and GlobalGAP safety standards.
