Hanoi announces transportation hotline for Tet 2026
Hanoi announced a hotline to receive reports of violations, increased ticket prices, congestion and traffic insecurity during the 2026 Lunar New Year.
In order to promptly handle situations arising during the New Year and Lunar New Year 2026, the Hanoi Department of Construction has just announced a hotline to receive information related to transportation activities in the area.
Accordingly, people can report violations in transportation activities, illegal ticket price increases, traffic congestion or traffic insecurity during holidays and Tet via hotline numbers: 0932.231.683 (Leader of Hanoi Department of Construction); 0972.188.666 (Head of Transport Management Department); 0989.811.118 (Head of Transport Inspectorate).
The Hanoi Department of Construction assigned the Traffic Inspectorate to coordinate with the Hanoi City Police to increase patrols, control, and strictly handle violations such as driving on the wrong route, picking up and dropping off passengers in the wrong place, fighting for passengers, disguised contract vehicles, overloaded vehicles, speeding, etc.
Along with that, the authorities will strictly control the issuance and use of enhanced vehicle badges, not allowing businesses to take advantage of badges to operate in violation of regulations. In areas around bus stations, train stations and frequent congestion points, the city will develop a reasonable traffic diversion plan to reduce congestion, ensure order, traffic safety and urban beauty during the peak of the Lunar New Year.
