The locality has the largest number of Deputy Directors of People's Procuracy in the country

The Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy (SPP) has just issued Decision No. 06/QD-VKSTC promulgating Regulations on the structure of the working apparatus, leadership, management and civil servants and public employees of the People's Procuracies at all levels.

Decision No. 06/QD-VKSTC stipulates the leadership and management structure of the Provincial People's Procuracy in localities with Chief Prosecutors and Deputy Chief Prosecutors.

In which, the number of deputy heads of the Provincial People's Procuracy is specifically regulated as follows:

- The unit of the Provincial People's Procuracy that is not merged shall have no more than 3 Deputy Heads, including 10 Provincial and Municipal People's Procuracies: Cao Bang, Dien Bien, Ha Tinh, Lai Chau, Lang Son, Nghe An, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Son La, Hue.

- Provincial People's Procuracy units have merged 2 units or not merged but have a large number of cases and incidents with no more than 4 Deputy Heads, including 18 Provincial and Municipal People's Procuracies: Hanoi, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Hai Phong, Quang Tri, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Dong Thap, Ca Mau, An Giang.

- Provincial People's Procuracy units have merged 3 units with no more than 5 Deputy Heads, including 5 Provincial and Municipal People's Procuracies: Phu Tho, Ninh Binh, Lam Dong, Can Tho, Vinh Long.

- Notably, for the Ho Chi Minh City People's Procuracy, it is a locality that merges 3 units and has the largest number of cases and incidents in the country, so there are no more than 6 Deputy Heads.

The decision of the Supreme People's Procuracy also clearly stipulates that in special cases or due to work requirements, it is necessary to mobilize, receive, and arrange civil servants and public employees. The Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Supreme People's Procuracy shall consider and decide on the number of Deputy Heads of the units but ensure that the total number of deputy heads of all provincial-level People's Procuracies does not exceed the prescribed number.

The structure of leadership and management at the department level under the provincial People's Procuracy has Department Heads, Deputy Department Heads and equivalent, with the specific number of deputy heads as follows:

- The department has from 5 positions to 9 positions with 1 Deputy Head of the Department.

- The department has from 10 positions to 20 positions with no more than 2 Deputy Heads of the Department.

- The department has from 21 positions to 30 positions with no more than 3 Deputy Heads of the Department.

- Departments with 31 or more positions must have no more than 4 Deputy Heads of Departments.
