In recent years, cooperation between the border protection forces of Vietnam and Cambodia has always been a bright spot, contributing to building a peaceful, friendly, stable and developing border, while strengthening the defense cooperation relationship between the two countries. The Vietnam Border Guard and the Cambodian Border Guard have maintained a close and united relationship; coordinated the implementation of agreements and regulations on border and border gate management; regularly organized joint patrols, exchanged timely information; effectively prevented illegal entry and exit and combated all types of cross-border crimes. These activities also create conditions for people from both sides to travel, do business, develop production and stabilize their lives. In particular, the two sides have implemented many practical cooperation models such as the construction of a station between the corresponding forces and the construction of a residential cluster.

With the close coordination of departments, ministries, branches and especially Party committees, authorities and people in border areas and the effective cooperation of the border protection forces of the two countries, the political security situation and social order and safety on the entire border have remained basically stable in recent times. Border roads and border markers are well managed and protected, contributing to building a peaceful, stable, cooperative and developing Vietnam - Cambodia border area.
