General Phan Van Giang works with Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee

At the meeting, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh reported to the Minister of National Defense and members of the delegation on the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, Party building and the political system; military - defense work in 2024 and key tasks in 2025.

According to the Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, in 2024, despite many difficulties and challenges, with the spirit of solidarity, proactiveness, creativity, and efforts of the Party Committee, government, business community, and people of all ethnic groups in the province, socio-economy, national defense and security, Party building and the province's political system have remained stable and achieved positive results.

Notably, 24/26 targets mainly met and exceeded the plan. The economy grew strongly, reaching 12.16%, ranking 2nd in the country; state budget revenue reached VND 56,782 billion, the highest ever... Foreign affairs activities and investment promotion were promoted, attracting investment achieved positive results; culture - society changed progressfully; the quality of comprehensive education was improved, spearhead education, high-performance sports remained in the leading group of the country.

The province has launched and effectively implemented the Campaign "Supporting the construction of houses for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province"; to date, the total support budget has reached over 425 billion VND.

Regarding the implementation of military and defense tasks, in 2024 and the first months of 2025, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of the province have focused on leading, directing the dissemination and serious and effective implementation of the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State on military strategy, national defense, and security.

Concluding the meeting, Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang said that Thanh Hoa is a province with a particularly important strategic position in terms of socio-economics, national defense and security, a solid rear, a large defense area of Military Region 4 and the whole country. Regarding military and defense tasks, Thanh Hoa province has inherited and promoted the tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army in effectively protecting the Fatherland's territorial sovereignty in all situations.

In that spirit, Minister of Defense Phan Van Giang suggested that the Party Committee, authorities and people of Thanh Hoa province continue to raise the spirit of united unity, higher determination, greater efforts, more drastic actions, striving to successfully accomplish the set goals. Thoroughly grasping and strictly implementing Resolution No. 18 of the XII Party Central Committee, concluding the Politburo's 126, 127, the Secretariat on the organizational structure of the political system, associated with the restructuring and improving the quality of the staff.

Strictly implement the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State and the province's policies and laws on military and defense tasks; focusing on Resolution No. 3331 of the Central Military Commission and Resolution No. 1287 of the Party Committee of Military Region 4 on leadership in implementing military and defense tasks and building the Army Party Committee in 2025.
