Da Nang launches 2026 training, ensuring the enlistment of 4,616 citizens

On March 2nd, the Military Command of Da Nang City organized the 2026 training launching ceremony and launched a peak emulation period.

At the ceremony, Colonel Tran Quang Chanh, Deputy Commander cum Chief of Staff of the Da Nang City Military Command, thoroughly grasped the orders for military and national defense work in 2026 from superiors; and at the same time deployed combat training tasks for 2026. According to the plan, the city's armed forces will organize training for 9 months, divided into 2 phases: phase 1 from July 2nd to 15th; phase 2 from August 1st to 15th.

The training motto continues to be identified as "Basic - Practical - Solid" for standing troops and "Basic - Practical - Quality" for militia and self-defense forces. The focus is on synchronous, in-depth training, close to the target, close to the area, close to the combat plan; taking practice as the main; improving combat readiness and handling situations.

Speaking to direct, Mr. Pham Duc An - Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee emphasized that 2026 is a year with many important political events of the country, especially the preparation for the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

On that basis, the Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the City Military Command to focus on performing a number of key tasks well. First of all, advise the City People's Committee to complete 100% of the targets for selecting and calling citizens to enlist and perform the obligation to participate in the People's Police in 2026, ensuring strict and round duty assignment. Total 4,616 citizens, including 3,950 military targets and 666 police targets.

At the same time, firmly grasp the political security and social order and safety situation in the area; proactively advise Party committees and authorities to promptly handle situations, not to be passive or surprised.

On this occasion, the Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee awarded the title of Comprehensive Strong Unit "Exemplary and Typical" in 2025 to the Staff Department, City Military Command; and launched a peak emulation campaign with the theme: "Solidarity, democracy, responsibility, excellently completing the task of participating in the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and the election of People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term".
