National Assembly Chairman concludes trip to attend the World Assembly Chairmen's Conference
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his wife successfully concluded their trip to attend the 6th World Assembly Chairmen's Conference in Switzerland.
On the evening of July 30, local time (the same night, Hanoi time), Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his wife, along with the Vietnamese delegation, left Geneva City to return home, successfully concluding their trip to attend the 6th Conference of World Assembly Chairmen and conduct bilateral activities in the Federal Republic of Switzerland.
Previously, on July 29-30, local time, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man had short meetings with Heads of Delegations from countries attending the Conference.
On July 30, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man had meetings with Chairwoman of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan Fukushiro Nukaga, Speaker of the Singaporean Parliament Seah Kian Peng, Speaker of the Azerbaijanan Parliament Sahiba Gafarova, and Speaker of the Austrian Senate Peter Samt.
At the meetings, Heads of Delegations from all countries expressed their delight at the important achievements in bilateral cooperation in recent times, including cooperation between legislative bodies; at the same time, highly appreciated Vietnam's increasing role and position in the region as well as in the world and expressed their desire to continue to maintain and promote relations with Vietnam in many fields in the coming time.
On July 29, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man had short meetings with Chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly of North Korea Pak Il Chol, Chairman of the National Assembly of South Korea Woo Won Shik, and Chairman of the House of Representatives of Kazakhstan Yerlan Koshanov.
The President of the Vietnamese National Assembly suggested that heads of national Assemblys of countries closely coordinate to prepare well for upcoming high-level visits and contacts, implement the results of recent visits and promote more comprehensive and in-depth cooperation in all channels and areas where both sides have strengths and needs; at the same time, strengthen cooperation, exchanges and parliamentary coordination at all levels in the direction of increasingly substantial and effective.
