President Tran Duc Luong and the houses filled with love in his hometown

At the end of 1995, during a visit to his hometown in Pho Khanh commune, Duc Pho town, Quang Ngai province, knowing the situation of Mr. Pham Van Noi, a 1/4, war invalid, and his wife in Dien Truong village, Pho Khanh commune, with housing difficulties, former President Tran Duc Luong - then Deputy Prime Minister - immediately directed the local government to pay attention and support the construction of a gratitude house for Mr. Noi's family.

Following the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Duc Luong, in early 1996, Mr. Nuoi's family was supported with 15 million VND to build a house. "Thanks to the attention and direction of former President Tran Duc Luong and the support of authorities at all levels, my family has built a spacious and sturdy house to live in," Mr. Nuoi confided.

During the trips to the difficult countryside of the province, former President Tran Duc Luong always pondered when he knew that there were still policy households who did not have the conditions to stabilize their lives. Every time he devoted gifts to sending policy families and war invalids in difficult circumstances, to encourage families to rise up in life. Former President of the State was particularly interested in supporting policy families and war invalids in housing. Thanks to that, there have been many families of wounded soldiers and poor households in a spacious house.

At the end of 2021, the family of former President Tran Duc Luong donated 500 million VND to the province to build 10 gratitude houses; at the same time, mobilized businesses to donate an additional 500 million VND to support families to build houses.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu, War Invalids 4/4, in Dien Truong village, Pho Khanh commune is one of 10 policies in the province, supported by the former President of President Tran Duc Luong. She shared: "Previously, my husband and wife's life were very difficult, had to live in a degraded 4 -level house. In early 2022, with the support of the former President of President Tran Duc Luong, my family built a solid house.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien - Acting Chairman of Pho Khanh Commune People's Committee, each time former President Tran Duc Luong visited his hometown, he often told the commune officials to be close to the people, caring for the lives of the people. Former President has supported the locality to build a village cultural house, school, making rural roads ... “With the people of Pho Khanh commune, especially those who have had the opportunity to meet and interact with former President Tran Duc Luong, always remember the image of the leaders of the Party and the State close, simple, always listen to the thoughts and aspirations of the people" - Ms. Hien shared.
