President Luong Cuong receives Indonesian and Singaporean Ambassadors
On the afternoon of October 27, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong received the Indonesian and Singaporean ambassadors to bid farewell at the end of his term in Vietnam.
According to VNA, receiving Indonesian Ambassador Denny Abdi, the President congratulated the Ambassador on his excellent completion of his term of service in Vietnam; making many positive contributions to promoting the development of bilateral relations.
The President congratulated the Ambassador on being appointed as Secretary General of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and hoped that in any position, the Ambassador would continue to promote the friendship and cooperation for the benefit of the people of the country, contributing to peace and stability in regional and world development cooperation.
Ambassador Denny Abdi said that when he began his term in Vietnam in early 2021, it was a very difficult time amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but it was also from those difficulties that he felt more clearly the affection and good friendship between the State and people of Vietnam.
In the context of many complicated developments in the world and the region, on the basis of good traditional friendship and being both active members of ASEAN, Ambassador Denny Abdi believes that Vietnam and Indonesia will make an important contribution to promoting ASEAN solidarity and further development.
Agreeing with the Ambassador's opinion, the President said that in the coming time, the two countries need to continue to strengthen political trust, promote delegation exchanges, high-level and all-level contacts; effectively implement high-level agreements; soon develop an Action Program to implement the Vietnam - Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the period 2025-2030; strive to soon complete the goal of reaching 18 billion USD in two-way trade turnover by 2028; enhance defense and security cooperation; have policies to encourage businesses of the two countries to invest in areas with strengths and needs of each country.

Congratulating Singaporean Ambassador Jaya Ratnam on his excellent completion of his term of office in Vietnam, President Luong Cuong highly appreciated the Ambassador's important contributions to promoting the development of bilateral relations.
Emphasizing that Vietnam always attaches importance to strengthening relations with Singapore, a leading economic partner of Vietnam, the President suggested that the two sides continue to promote delegation exchanges, high-level contacts and all levels; focus on developing and implementing the Action Program to implement the Vietnam - Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the period 2025-2030.
President Luong Cuong hopes that the two sides will cooperate closely, bring national defense and security; promote other areas of cooperation such as science and technology, digital transformation, green transformation, culture, education, especially human resource development; maintain and sustain the development momentum of trade and investment relations between the two countries.
Ambassador Jaya Ratnam expressed his pleasure at witnessing Vietnam's remarkable development in recent years, affirming that Singapore always admires the resilience and solidarity of the Vietnamese people.
The Ambassador expressed his confidence that the Action Program to implement the Vietnam - Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the 2025-2030 period will open a new, more extensive and effective phase of cooperation.
