Cao Bang - The Provincial People's Committee has just adjusted the Project to support housing for meritorious people and relatives of martyrs

On December 4, according to the reporter's research, the People's Committee of Cao Bang province has just issued a decision to adjust the Project "Supporting housing for people with revolutionary contributions and martyrs' relatives in 2025", replacing some contents compared to the previously approved plan.

According to the new decision, the total number of households supported in 2025 will decrease from 155 households to 131 households.

Of which, the number of newly built households decreased from 38 to 31 households; the number of repaired and renovated households decreased from 117 to 100 households. The adjustment has resulted in a total cost of implementing the Project reducing from 5.79 billion VND to 4.86 billion VND. The reason was determined to be that some households had received support from other capital sources during the review process.

Along with the change in beneficiaries, the Provincial People's Committee also re-allocates tasks in accordance with the new organizational structure after the arrangement of administrative units.

The newly merged departments and branches will continue to take on the work of the old agencies; the People's Committees at the commune level will take on the tasks previously under the authority of the People's Committees of districts and cities when there is still a 2-level government model.

The decision is issued with a detailed Appendix, updating the number of households supported for each commune and ward. Some areas with major fluctuations such as Trung Khanh commune (reduced from 65 to 49 households), Dam Thuy (reduced from 21 to 18 households), Ly Quoc (from 3 households to 0). In contrast, Nung Tri Cao ward increased from 10 to 11 households.

The People's Committee of Cao Bang province assigned the People's Committees of communes and wards to be responsible for the review data and implementation results in the area; the Department of Construction to preside over the synthesis and consultation.

The adjustment is assessed to ensure that the housing support policy for meritorious people is implemented in accordance with reality, the right subjects and the ability to balance local resources. The decision takes effect from the date of signing.
