Traffic police work hard to regulate the flow of people from the West to Ho Chi Minh City
Tien Giang - The Traffic Police of Tien Giang Province Police have been on duty at hot spots to regulate the flow of people from the West to Ho Chi Minh City.
On May 3, people from provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region drove their vehicles to provinces and cities in the Southeast region to return to work after the April 30 holiday, causing increased traffic volume.
At Rach Mieu Bridge, the increased traffic volume caused local traffic congestion on both sides of the bridge. To avoid traffic congestion, the Traffic Police Department of Tien Giang Provincial Police has deployed forces to be on duty, coordinating with the Traffic Police Department of Ben Tre Provincial Police to regulate traffic.
Accordingly, in order to reduce congestion on the Ben Tre shore, the Traffic Police of Tien Giang Province Police blocked vehicles from Tien Giang to prioritize vehicles from Ben Tre moving through Rach Mieu Bridge and vice versa.
Captain Pham Thanh Sang - Traffic Police officer of the Traffic Police Department of Tien Giang Provincial Police - said that the traffic police forces of Tien Giang and Ben Tre provinces have sent officers to stand guard on both sides of Rach Mieu Bridge. When the traffic volume increases dramatically, the authorities will coordinate to regulate traffic through Rach Mieu Bridge in each direction. Up to now, there has been no serious traffic congestion recorded at Rach Mieu Bridge.
At Luong Phu intersection (Chau Thanh district, Tien Giang province), a similar situation occurred when the traffic volume from provinces and cities towards Can Tho and National Highway 60, National Highway 50 increased. The Traffic Police of Tien Giang Province Police blocked vehicles at DT878 and DT879 to prioritize vehicles traveling on National Highway 1 from the provinces and cities in the West to Ho Chi Minh City.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Minh Hiep - Deputy Captain of the Road Traffic Police Team, Traffic Police Department of Tien Giang Provincial Police - said that at hot spots in Tien Giang province such as Rach Mieu Bridge, Luong Phu Intersection, ... traffic is still smooth, without serious congestion.
The Traffic Police of Tien Giang Province Police are maintaining officers and soldiers on duty at traffic hotspots, while patrolling, controlling, remote traffic flow, and regulating to ensure people's traffic is smooth and not causing serious traffic congestion in the area.
