The Ministry of Construction informs the progress of 8 key transport projects in the West

According to the report of the Ministry of Construction, in the Mekong Delta region, there are currently 8 key transport projects with 13 component projects (DATP). Of which, 7 DATP will be completed in 2025, 6 DATP will be completed after 2025.

Regarding site clearance, the Can Tho - Ca Mau expressway project still has 1 rest stop location in Kien Giang province; DATP2 Cao Lanh - An Huu still has 2 locations of the high-voltage power line that have not been relocated in Tien Giang province.

For the Ho Chi Minh Road Project, Kien Giang province has not yet handed over the site for 1.727km/45.27km, has not yet completed the relocation of 7 technical infrastructure locations and 1 220kV power line; Bac Lieu province has not yet handed over the site for 0.1km/6.67km, and has not yet completed the relocation of 2 technical infrastructure locations.

The Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway project still has 2 households in Soc Trang that have not yet handed over the site, 15 high-voltage power line locations have not been relocated (3 locations in Can Tho, 7 locations in Soc Trang, 5 locations in An Giang).

The My An - Cao Lanh project, although the project has not yet been implemented, Dong Thap province has handed over 95% of the site to the project.

Regarding the implementation of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway project: DATP 1 output reached 47%, DATP 3 reached 37%; Cao Lanh - Lo Te project reached 58%; Rach Mieu 2 bridge project reached 84.38%.

The remaining projects are still behind schedule due to a shortage of filling materials at the beginning, some contractors are still behind in construction organization, including: Can Tho - Ca Mau with output reaching 66/70% of the plan; Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang: DATP 2 reached 31/42%, DATP 4 reached 31/ 40%; Cao Lanh - An Huu: DATP 1 reached 59.8/72%, DATP 2 reached 18.8/21.3%, Lo Te - Rach Soi reached 35.2/55.2%, Ho Chi Minh Road reached 30.56/45%.

Regarding sand for embankment, localities have granted exploitation licenses for 54.53 million m3/demand for 57.53 million m3 for projects. Of which, Tien Giang 6 million m3, Ben Tre 3.6 million m3, An Giang 18.9 million m3, Soc Trang 12.1 million m3, Dong Thap 10.13 million m3, Vinh Long 3.8 million m3. Currently, localities are continuing to carry out licensing procedures for 13.9 million m3 to meet the project's capacity, raising the total reserve to 68.43/demand of 57.43 million m3.

For stone materials, the total demand of the projects is 9.34 million m3, the projects planned to be completed in 2025 is 3.33 million m3. Up to now, materials have been exploited and brought to the construction site from mines in Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Kien Giang, An Giang provinces with a volume of 1.69 million m3 (projects completed in 2025 are 1.11 million m3, the remaining projects are 0.58 million m3).

The source of stone for projects completed in 2025 is basically guaranteed, the volume of stone to serve the needs of projects completed after 2025 will continue to be taken from mines in An Giang, Kien Giang, Binh Duong, Dong Nai provinces (after key projects in the 2025 completion area will continue to supply the Southwest region).
