The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment introduces 3 candidates for the 16th National Assembly

On the afternoon of January 15, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment held a conference to collect voters' opinions at the workplace on those expected to be introduced to run for the 16th National Assembly.

Speaking at the conference, Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Duc Thang emphasized that the National Assembly is the highest representative body of the people, the highest state power body, where the will, aspirations and mastery of the people nationwide are concentrated. The activities of the National Assembly play a particularly important role in deciding on the country's development guidelines, building and perfecting the legal system, exercising the highest supervisory authority over the State's activities, thereby contributing to ensuring discipline and legality, promoting socio-economic development, maintaining national defense and security and constantly improving people's lives.

According to the minister, the selection and introduction of people who meet the standards and conditions to run for National Assembly deputies is not only a procedural process, but also a political responsibility of each agency, unit and each voter.

At the conference, 100% of the voters present voted unanimously to introduce Minister Tran Duc Thang, Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien and Deputy Director of the Department of Irrigation Works Management and Construction Luong Van Anh as qualified, standard and prestigious to run for the 16th National Assembly.

Commenting on the cadres introducing candidates for the 16th National Assembly, voters affirmed that Comrade Tran Duc Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Government Party Executive Committee, Party Secretary, Minister of Agriculture and Environment - is a cadres and party members with a strong stance, viewpoint, and political will; seriously and regularly striving to practice qualities and ethics in the spirit of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (11th, 12th tenure) associated with "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style"; having a spirit of solidarity, gathering, and creating high consensus internally. He has a proper attitude, respect, and openness in coordinating with organizations and individuals; is close to reality; and is wholeheartedly responsible for the problems of organizations and individuals.

Comrade Tran Duc Thang is a well-trained cadre, has been trained from practice, has held many positions, and is in charge of many fields at the central and local levels; is a leader with courage, intelligence, enthusiasm, concern and high responsibility for his work; has innovative thinking and breakthrough approaches, is sensitive to policy responses to immediately solve problems arising from the Ministry's management practice and the country's socio-economic development situation.

Comrade Tran Duc Thang has experienced and excellently completed his tasks in many key leadership and management positions at the central and local levels, meeting the requirements for the standards of senior leaders of the Party and State. He fully gathered the qualities, prestige, abilities and conditions of a typical National Assembly delegate.

For comrade Phung Duc Tien, he has a strong stance, viewpoint, and political courage; seriousness, regularity in striving, practicing qualities and ethics in the spirit of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (11th, 12th terms) associated with "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style"; having a spirit of solidarity and unity within the Party; a sense of organization and discipline; having a sense of responsibility in performing assigned duties and responsibilities; maintaining a united and close relationship with comrades and colleagues at work.

Comrade Phung Duc Tien was well-trained, has high theoretical and professional qualifications; has held many positions, has rich practical experience; he was a delegate of the 13th National Assembly (2011-2016); is a cadre with a high sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, and seriousness; directing and handling work decisively, resolutely, promptly, and effectively.

With his qualifications, capacity, qualities and rich practical experience, comrade Phung Duc Tien fully meets the standards and conditions of a candidate for a 16th National Assembly delegate according to regulations.

Comrade Luong Van Anh is a cadre with basic training; has the ability to organize, direct and operate work. In recent times, in his working positions, comrade Luong Van Anh has promoted his qualifications, professional capacity and strengths; demonstrated the role of cadres and party members in advising, directing, operating and managing; advising, directing and organizing the implementation of assigned tasks well according to the work program and plan, ensuring progress, quality and efficiency, creating many important and clear changes in the assigned fields and work. He/she meets the general standards of candidates for 16th National Assembly deputies according to regulations.

Speaking at the conference, Minister Tran Duc Thang said that he personally, along with two comrades Phung Duc Tien and Luong Van Anh, are always deeply aware of the role and responsibility of the People's representative, the representative of the will, aspirations and mastery of the People before the National Assembly.

If voters trust and become delegates of the 16th National Assembly, the delegates hope to continuously strive to fulfill the duties and tasks of the People's Representative; participate qualitatively and responsibly in the activities of the National Assembly; proactively research and contribute to the institutionalization of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the resolutions of the Politburo, meet the requirements of national development in the new era; seriously perform the function of superior supervision, maintain close contact with voters and the People through forms of contact with voters, conferences...

We are also deeply aware that, regardless of their position, when participating in the National Assembly activities, People's deputies must always maintain political courage, moral qualities, and a clean lifestyle; strictly comply with discipline and order; put the interests of the nation, people and people first; constantly learn, listen, be proactive and seriously absorb the contributions of voters, comrades and colleagues - Minister Tran Duc Thang expressed.
