The Ministry of Home Affairs will propose the 2026-2031 payroll in December
The Ministry of Home Affairs will coordinate with the Central Organizing Committee to submit the current status of payroll management for the period 2022-2026 and propose payroll for the period 2026-2031.
According to information from the Ministry of Home Affairs, units under the Ministry are focusing on advising on the serious implementation of Conclusion No. 210-KL/TW of the Central Executive Committee on continuing to build and perfect the organization of the political system in the coming period and Conclusion No. 202-KL/TW on the operation of the political system and local government at both levels.
In addition, the Ministry of Home Affairs also reviewed and focused on implementing assigned tasks on the implementation of laws related to decentralization, delegation of authority, and determination of authority when operating local governments at 2 levels; Conclusion No. 195-KL/TW on the situation and results of the operation of the political system and local governments at 2 levels.
The Ministry continues to advise competent authorities to direct ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, and localities to continue reviewing and perfecting functions, tasks, powers, and working relationships; and perfecting the organizational structure of administrative agencies, organizations, and public service units.
Along with that, ensure streamlining, effective and efficient operations, reducing intermediate levels, in accordance with the guiding viewpoints of the Politburo and the Central Steering Committee. This content is associated with streamlining the payroll, restructuring, improving the quality of the team of cadres, civil servants, and public employees, meeting the requirements in the new situation.
The Ministry of Home Affairs also coordinates with the Central Organizing Committee to submit to the Central Steering Committee and the Politburo on the current status of payroll management for the period 2022-2026 and propose payroll for the period 2026-2031.
The Ministry continues to urge and inspect the review, arrangement and assignment of cadres, civil servants and public employees to ensure correct job positions, meeting task requirements; developing and perfecting regulations on job positions.
Previously, at the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly, Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh presented a report on the implementation of a number of resolutions of the 14th and 15th National Assembly on thematic supervision and questioning.
Accordingly, the streamlining of staff has achieved positive results, in the period of 2022-2026, the number of civil servants has decreased by over 5%, the number of career workers receiving salaries from the budget has decreased by over 15%.
To date, 146.8 thousand people have quit their jobs according to policies and regimes for cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and armed forces in implementing the arrangement of the apparatus and administrative units at all levels.
