Appointment of Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man has signed and issued Resolution No. 1961/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly on the appointment of personnel to hold the position of Assistant Politburo member and Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien.

Accordingly, the National Assembly Standing Committee resolved to appoint Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vuong as Assistant to Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.

During his tenure as Assistant to the Politburo member and Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vuong continued to receive a position allowance with a coefficient of 1.25.

The Resolution clearly states that the Chairman of the National Assembly's Delegation Affairs Committee, the Secretary General of the National Assembly - Head of the National Assembly Office and Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vuong are responsible for implementing this Resolution.

This Resolution takes effect from the date of signing (January 8, 2026).

In early November 2025, Mr. Do Van Chien was transferred and appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

On November 10, 2025, at the 10th Session, the National Assembly elected Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the 15th National Assembly.

In Resolution No. 1962/NQ-UBTVQH15 signed and issued by Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh, the National Assembly Standing Committee resolved to approve the results of the dismissal of Mr. Dang Thanh Son from the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Ninh Binh province, term XV, 2021 - 2026.
