The Ministry of Foreign Affairs pays tribute to the contributions of press agencies in 2025
Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the effective coordination of news agencies and press in the past year.
On December 31, in Hanoi, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung chaired an intimate meeting with Vietnamese press agencies on the occasion of the end of 2025 and preparations to welcome the Spring of Binh Ngo 2026.
In the exciting atmosphere towards the 14th National Party Congress and welcoming the New Year, Minister Le Hoai Trung emphasized the special significance of the present time, when the country is facing the opportunity to make a breakthrough in the new era of development.
In that context, Vietnam's foreign affairs work continues to achieve important achievements, contributing significantly to maintaining a peaceful and stable environment, effectively serving development goals and constantly enhancing the country's international position and prestige.
Regarding the orientation for the coming time, Minister Le Hoai Trung emphasized the "pioneering" and " core" role of the diplomatic sector in creating and maintaining a peaceful and stable environment and contributing to creating a combined strength for the country to enter a new era of development.
In particular, with foreign affairs and international integration being identified for the first time as "essential and regular tasks" along with national defense and security in the Party's strategic documents, the Minister affirmed that this task also poses an urgent requirement for the implementation of comprehensive foreign affairs work at a new level in the next period.
Minister Le Hoai Trung expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the effective support and coordination of news agencies and newspapers in the past year.
The Minister affirmed that in general, the country's achievements have an important role and contribution from the press and foreign information and propaganda agencies.
The Minister especially appreciated the team of foreign journalists and informants who have been proactive in conveying the message, foreign policies and guidelines of the Party and State; sensitive in providing, synthesizing, and analyzing new information and developments in the international situation and effectively fighting against false arguments.
The Minister hopes that press agencies and departments, ministries and branches will continue to accompany the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in innovating, improving the effectiveness of foreign information, and meeting the tasks in the new situation.
Speaking at the event, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Newspaper Le Quoc Minh affirmed that the coordination between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and press agencies has become a "standard" for strictness, depth and efficiency.
Mr. Le Quoc Minh emphasized that the press force working in foreign information work is increasingly strong and professional and affirmed that press agencies will continue to accompany and stand side by side with the diplomatic sector, constantly innovating information methods to better complete the tasks and requirements for foreign information work in the new period.
On this occasion, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung presented Certificates of Merit and Medals to 37 collectives and individuals who have made outstanding achievements in information and propaganda work, contributing to the overall success of the foreign front in the past year.
