Binh Duong plans to build 100 km of road along the Saigon River
Binh Duong province is discussing a plan to build nearly 100 km of road along the Saigon River. The route is of great significance in developing the large urban area along the Saigon River.
Binh Duong Provincial Electronic Information Portal reported that recently, the provincial leaders have had meetings with departments, branches and localities related to the implementation of the investment project to build a road along the Saigon River.
According to the project, the total length of the entire Saigon River road is nearly 100 km. This route will orient to connect with the parallel road of Ring Road 3, Ring Road 4, DT744. At the same time, the riverside road will be a driving force for the development of a number of projects in the logistics industry such as the development of An Son port cluster, An Tay port cluster, Phu Cuong Thinh port...
The project calculates the implementation of 13.6 km of the Saigon River road passing through Thuan An city. The road is 32 m wide, with 6 lanes, following the existing Saigon River dike (from 20-40 m from the riverbank);
Construction of a 16.7 km long Saigon riverside road through Thu Dau Mot city with a road width of 14-32 m;
The section through Ben Cat city is 27.9 km long with a road width of 28-36.5 m and the section through Dau Tieng district is 39.79 km long with a road width of 32 m.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh commented: "Developing the Saigon River corridor is one of the development drivers in the Southern Dynamic Zone - developing regional transport connecting key areas, enhancing infrastructure development, creating public space, serving traffic and urban development along the river..."
Mr. Vo Van Minh suggested that departments and branches urgently complete the Project, choose a suitable investment option for each section and investment phase.
