Nhan Dan Newspaper launches "Happy Train": Humane journey to welcome the new Spring

The journey back home is more joyful on trains carrying love

Being able to return to our hometown on this train, we are very happy and touched. Unlike last year, this year returning to our hometown for Tet is also much more exciting," Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, a passenger on the "Happy Train", emotionally shared when the train was about to leave Hanoi Station on the morning of February 2.

For the couple, the trip is not only a journey to return to reunite with family, but also a special experience, full of joy and sharing in the days leading up to the beginning of the new Spring.

Happiness Train" - Where happiness is not just a destination

On the morning of February 2nd, "Happy Train", officially rolled from Hanoi station. The program has profound humanistic meaning, aiming to spread the spirit of compassion, arouse belief, national pride and promote the image of the country and people of Vietnam.

The "Happy Train" is implemented with the desire to create a positive start to the new year 2026, where happiness is present in every journey, every moment on the return trip. This is the crystallization of social responsibility and the aspiration to contribute of Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Vietnam Railways industry in connecting the community, connecting regions on the S-shaped land.

For the first time, a train wearing the image of the red flag with a yellow star, symbol of Nhan Dan Newspaper, and a brilliant spring look officially rolled on the North-South railway line. Not only a means of transportation, "Happy Train" has become a mobile cultural space, where each train car tells stories about people, land, cuisine and Vietnamese identity, contributing to promoting Vietnamese tourism to a large number of domestic and international passengers.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association emphasized: "The idea of building "Happiness Train", with trains painted with colors of love along with the Nhan Dan Newspaper logo, originated from the concern about the requirements of innovation and creativity, so that each trip is not only convenient but also brings a comfortable and joyful feeling to passengers".

Representatives of Vietnam Railways Corporation said that the program is not only symbolic, but also demonstrates efforts to innovate and improve service quality, linking transport activities with cultural values and community responsibility. Along with that, representatives of Coteccons affirmed that accompanying "Happy Train" stems from the desire to contribute to safe, decent, and sustainable journeys, where people are placed at the center of all connections.

Right at the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented 100 gifts to passengers on the special train, spreading the atmosphere of sharing and warmth in the days leading up to Tet. Notably, "Happy Train" will continue to roll on New Year's Eve, becoming a sacred gathering space, where gifts, New Year wishes and reunion joy are given to passengers throughout the journey.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Ha (from Nghe An) said that although she has traveled by train many times, this is the first time she has experienced a train decorated warmly and intimately. The atmosphere on the train makes the journey home for Tet more light and joyful, and at the same time helps young people feel more clearly the meaning of reunion.

Really happy, a very special train trip. I felt the love on the journey home for Tet right from the moment I stepped onto the train. I want to express my gratitude to Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Vietnam Railways industry," Ms. Ha expressed.

Mr. John Miller, a tourist from Australia, shared: "I am very impressed and surprised with the atmosphere on this train. People are very friendly, cheerful, and I even received very meaningful gifts. This is a special experience, I will definitely tell my family when I return home.

From Hanoi Station, the "Happy Train" officially departs, carrying faith, love and aspiration to spread good values, contributing to affirming social responsibility and the imprint of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam Railways industry and accompanying units in the new era.

Besides the train launched on February 2nd, "Happy Train" will continue to roll on New Year's Eve of Binh Ngo Tet, becoming a gathering space, where passengers can exchange New Year wishes, joy and sharing. On this occasion, passengers on the train will receive lucky money gifts from leaders of the program organizing units.
