For the Lunar New Year 2026, the company will pay 3 months' salary of 13, 14, 15, according to the average actual salary received in December 2025. Of which, two months of 13th and 14th salary will be paid in January 2026, and the 15th month of salary will be paid in February 2026. For the first working day of the year after the Lunar New Year, the company will reward each person present at the time of work with 1 million VND.

Ms. Phan Thi Thien - Chairwoman of the Long Cuong Company's Trade Union, said that the company's Tet bonus is 1 month of basic salary for employees. Depending on when employees work for different companies, there are different basic salaries, and the lowest is 5.6 million VND/person and the highest is 15 million VND/person.

Mr. Huynh Van Choi - Chairman of the Trade Union of Viet Hung Joint Stock Company - said that the company's Tet bonus this year is two months' salary, an average of about 17 million VND/person. In addition, the union also has gifts for employees from 300,000 VND to 500,000 VND/person depending on the circumstances.

Lunar New Year Bonus 2026 increases compared to 2025

According to the summary of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs, by December 25, 3,802 enterprises (employing more than 694,300 workers) in Ho Chi Minh City reported on the salary situation in 2025 and the bonus plan for employees during the New Year and Lunar New Year 2026.

For the Lunar New Year 2026, the average bonus is about 12.02 million VND/person, an increase of 6.8% compared to the Lunar New Year 2025 (11.26 million VND/person).

The highest Lunar New Year bonus for an individual is over 1.84 billion VND, belonging to a foreign-invested enterprise (FDI) and the lowest is 5.81 million VND per average.

In which, the State-owned One Member Co., Ltd. with 100% of its charter capital for the average Tet bonus is 13.79 million VND, the highest is 96 million VND and the lowest is 9.08 million VND; The Company has shares and capital contributions controlled by the State, the average Tet bonus is 14.06 million VND, the highest is 180 million VND and the lowest is 7.13 million VND.

Notably, the difference between the highest and lowest bonuses among private enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises is very high.

Private enterprises have an average Tet bonus of 11.43 million VND, the highest is 724.5 million VND and the lowest is 5.46 million VND (an average difference of 132.69 times); Foreign-invested enterprises have an average Tet bonus of 12.22 million VND, the highest is over 1.84 billion VND and the lowest is over 5.84 million VND (an average difference of over 315.2 times).
