According to the Department of Home Affairs, in 2025, in the context of the city's socio-economic growth continuing to be positive, the average salary of employees at enterprises in the area will increase compared to the previous year.
From the data of 3,927 enterprises with expected New Year's bonuses and 4,291 enterprises with expected Binh Ngo Lunar New Year bonuses (with data sent to the department), most enterprises have plans to reward employees with a bonus of 100% - 120% compared to the previous year.
The average bonus for the Lunar New Year is estimated at VND 1,130,000/person, an increase of VND 160,000/person, equivalent to an increase of 16.5% compared to the average bonus for the Lunar New Year last year. According to the Department of Home Affairs, in recent years, businesses in the area have generally not paid attention to paying New Year's bonuses to employees. The bonus level at enterprises with implemented bonuses mainly ranges from 300,000 - 3,500,000 VND/person. The highest individual bonus is 137,000,000 VND (Dep C Management Company Limited); the lowest is 50,000 VND (private enterprise block). Many foreign-invested enterprises focus resources to pay Lunar New Year bonuses to employees.
Regarding the average bonus for the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo of employees in the area, it is estimated at VND 7,358,000/person, an increase of VND 278,000/person, equivalent to an increase of about 4% compared to the average bonus for the Lunar New Year of At Ty. The cases receiving gifts are workers in difficult circumstances, single mothers raising young children who are sick or ill; self-harmed (or husband, wife, children); self-inflicted serious illnesses; self-inflicted work accidents, occupational diseases, natural disasters, floods, fires; union members with low income, jobless in 2025... Each gifts are worth 1,000,000 VND from the City Labor Federation budget.
Along with this program, the City Labor Federation also developed a plan for the 2026 Sum Vay - Spring of gratitude to the Party at all levels of the Trade Union, striving for 100% of grassroots trade unions to organize the "Tet Sum Vay - Spring of gratitude to the Party 2026" with appropriate content and form.
