Nearly 30% of businesses in Nghe An have not paid trade union dues
The work of collecting trade union funds in Nghe An province basically achieved positive results, many businesses strictly comply with regulations. However, there are still many units that are slow and have not paid, affecting resources for caring for union members and workers.
On April 19, according to a summary by the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, in 2025, the whole province has 650 units with Trade Union organizations, of which 468 units have contributed trade union funds, with a total amount of about 170 billion VND. The rate of enterprises fulfilling the obligation to contribute trade union funds reached about 72%, showing that the awareness of law compliance of most enterprises is increasingly improved.
Notably, many businesses with a large number of union members have seriously fulfilled their obligations, making important contributions to the overall revenue. Typical examples include Luxshare ICT Co., Ltd. (Nghe An) with 17,459 union members, Viet Glory Co., Ltd. with 8,450 union members, Luxshare ICT Nghe An II Company Block with 7,637 union members. According to the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, trade union funds are managed and used by trade union levels in accordance with regulations, focusing on activities to care for the lives of union members and workers, and support businesses in building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations. Although positive results have been achieved, there are still 182 units that have not paid trade union funds, mainly small enterprises, accounting for about 28% of the total number of enterprises with trade union organizations. The total amount of unpaid money is estimated at about 8 billion VND, although not large compared to the total revenue, it has partly affected the implementation of trade union activities, especially in the context of increasing demand for care and support for union members.
Among the enterprises with many union members but not clearly showing full compliance with obligations, we can mention Nam Thuan Nghe An Joint Stock Company, Phu Linh Trading Co., Ltd., Trong Phuc Garment Co., Ltd., Duc Phat Trading and Production Co., Ltd.... According to assessments, the situation of late payment and unpaid trade union dues leads to the consequence of funding shortages, directly affecting professional activities, workers' movements, as well as the practical rights of union members and workers.
Faced with the above situation, trade union levels in Nghe An province have worked directly with businesses many times, grasped the production and business situation, and shared difficulties and obstacles of businesses. Along with that, trade union levels have promoted propaganda, mobilization, and guidance for businesses to properly implement regulations on paying trade union dues.
Discussing this issue, Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation - affirmed: "Collecting trade union funds is an important task, directly linked to resources to care for and protect the rights of union members and workers, so trade union levels have strengthened mobilization and urging businesses to implement it. In the coming time, the trade union will continue to review and classify, and at the same time coordinate with functional agencies to handle delayed units, ensuring correct and sufficient collection according to regulations.
