Mobilizing nearly 895 billion VND to build new and repair more than 14,700 houses in Vinh Long

On January 9, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held the 02th Conference for the 2025-2030 term in the form of direct and online coordination to communes and wards.

2025 is a year that marks the strong mark of the Provincial Front system with the excellent completion of the emulation movement "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses". The whole province has supported the construction and repair of 14,738 houses with a total cost of up to 894.3 billion VND.

Propaganda and mobilization work has been strongly innovated, successfully organizing more than 640,300 events with over 10.3 million participants. Thanks to that, the people's trust in the leadership of the Party and the cause of innovation has always been firmly consolidated.

In social security work, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels has mobilized more than 155,483 Tet gifts for disadvantaged people with a value of over 74 billion VND. At the same time, religious organizations and overseas Vietnamese also contributed more than 130 billion VND to charitable activities.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing the direction and tasks for 2026, focusing on closely following 04 pillar Resolutions of the province.

The conference also conducted consultations to elect additional members of the Committee and announced the establishment of 04 Professional Advisory Councils.

In his speech, Mr. Kim Ngoc Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Vinh Long province highly appreciated the socio-economic development results in 2025 of Vinh Long province, with 25/30 main targets achieved and exceeded the resolution; GRDP increased by 8.03%, social security was guaranteed, especially the completion of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses with more than 14,700 houses supported.

In that general achievement, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations played an important role in doing a good job of propaganda, mobilizing the People, promoting the great solidarity bloc, participating in building the Party, government, supervising - criticizing society, caring for social security and successfully organizing the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congresses at all levels.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province to seriously acknowledge the limitations and shortcomings; proactively propose solutions to overcome and improve the quality and efficiency of the Front system in the coming time.

At the same time, the Provincial Fatherland Front focuses on effectively implementing the tasks of 2026, focusing on implementing the resolutions of the Central and Provincial Party Committee; promoting social security, supervision, social criticism, innovating activities towards the grassroots, preparing well for the election work, expanding people's foreign affairs, contributing to maintaining security and order, consolidating the great national unity bloc.
