On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026, the Vietnam Fatherland Front will continue to allocate funds to support people affected by storms and floods, after 10 previous allocations.
Coordinated to mobilize the construction of 334,234 houses
On the morning of January 14, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) held the 6th Conference of the 10th Presidium.
Presenting a report on the results of the work of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in 2025, the coordination and unification program for action in 2026 of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee, Central organizations, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front emphasized that in 2025, in the context of organizing the apparatus, large workload, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations have been proactive, determined, flexible and closely following the leadership of the Party, the State's policies and laws, focusing on implementing well the tasks according to the identified programs and plans and the outstanding tasks, arising from practical requirements, considering them as practical, serious, with outstanding results and highlights.
In particular, the Vietnam Fatherland Front system at all levels has focused on implementing the arrangement and streamlining of the organization of the Fatherland Front according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, direction of the Central Executive Committee, Politburo, Secretariat; Decision No. 304-QD/TW, dated June 10, 2025 of the Politburo on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Regulation 301-QD/TW, dated June 9, 2025 of the Secretariat on the functions, tasks, and organization of the apparatus of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the provincial and commune levels.
The system of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels has actively contributed in-depth opinions, focusing on issues of public interest and the People's Interest in the draft of a number of contents of amending and supplementing the Constitution, draft laws, and guiding documents for implementation in very urgent conditions in terms of time.
Successfully organize the Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front Delegates, Congresses of political and social organizations at the commune and provincial levels; focus on careful preparation towards organizing the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the National Congress of socio-political organizations for the 2026-2031 term in the spirit of the direction of Directive No. 48-CT/TW, dated June 24, 2025 of the Secretariat.
Along with that, the work of propagating and disseminating the policies and guidelines of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front has been implemented promptly, synchronously, and diversely in forms and prioritized for propaganda through the application of technology and digital transformation.
At the same time, focus on preparing and implementing the contents of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term according to the authority and responsibility of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Social supervision and criticism work has been carried out more and more methodically, the Vietnam Fatherland Front system at all levels has coordinated to implement over 2,530 monitoring contents and over 15,880 social criticism contents; Emulation movements and campaigns continue to receive the active attention of the entire political system, the participation of all classes of people with many models and methods of action that are very creative, effective and widespread.
In particular, 334,234 houses, worth nearly VND 24,762 billion, have been mobilized to be built, contributing to the successful implementation of the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide" in 2025; the highlight is that the whole country has completed the program 5 years and 4 months ahead of schedule compared to the target set in the 13th Central Committee Resolution on eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide.
Allocating 833 billion VND to support people affected by storms and floods
Ms. Ha Thi Nga added that in 2025, social relief work, support for people and localities affected by natural disasters, storms and floods will be implemented quickly and promptly, mobilizing the great strength of many classes of people, the entire political system and the support of many international agencies, organizations and friends. In 2025, the Presidium has twice called for support for people affected by storms and floods. The entire system has mobilized over VND 3,900 billion; received over VND 1,380 billion through the Central Relief Mobilization Committee; allocated 10 phases with a budget of over VND 833 billion, the remaining amount will continue to be allocated at the Lunar New Year 2026.
At the same time, people's foreign affairs activities and the work of overseas Vietnamese continue to be implemented more and more substantially and effectively; The implementation of building a united, prosperous and happy residential area has initially received the attention and support of sectors and localities and attracted the attention of all classes of people, especially in the grassroots area. Coordination with the Government, the National Assembly, departments, ministries, branches and organizations at the central and local levels is increasingly effective. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels continue to play a good role in presiding over, coordinating and unifying actions with member organizations in implementing contents and tasks; arousing and promoting the spirit of proactiveness and creativity associated with the practical situation, conditions, strengths, culture, customs, and practices of localities and regions...
At the conference, participating delegates discussed and commented on the content of the Draft Report on the results of the Front's work in 2025, and the Program of coordination and unified action in 2026 of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Draft Political Report submitted to the 11th National Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026 - 2031; Draft Plan for organizing the 11th National Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026 - 2031; Draft revised Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Report summarizing 10 years of implementing Conclusion No. 01/KL-MTTW-DCT of the Presidium on innovating the content and operating methods of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for ethnic affairs; Report summarizing 10 years of implementing Conclusion No. 02/KL-MTTW-DCT of the Presidium on innovating the content and operating methods of the Vietnam Fatherland Front regarding religious work.
