The Lunar New Year spreads throughout Ho Chi Minh City
HCMC - As the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo approaches 2026, HCMC will promote activities to care for the material and spiritual life of the people.
Welcoming the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the grassroots level in Ho Chi Minh City has implemented many charitable and practical activities to care for people in the area during Tet, spreading the spirit of solidarity and sharing in the community.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Thanh Ward has just organized a walking program to support the care of Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 with the theme "Stedes of love - Connecting love". The program attracted nearly 2,000 cadres, party members, union members, association members, armed forces, students, representatives of religious establishments, businesses, philanthropists and a large number of local people to participate.

The activity contributes to spreading the spirit of mutual love and support, joining hands to care for the poor, near-poor households and families in difficult circumstances, with the motto of leaving no one behind. Through the program, the organizing committee has mobilized more than 1.6 billion VND to take care of Tet for the people.
According to Ms. Hoang Mai Quynh Hoa - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Thanh Ward, the program not only contributes to mobilizing resources for the Fund for the Poor, but also conveys a strong message about the spirit of humanity, social responsibility and a positive and healthy lifestyle in the community.
At the city level, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has developed a plan to coordinate the organization of the Spring Solidarity Festival - Ho Chi Minh City Charity Festival - Binh Ngo 2026 Festival. The program is associated with activities to celebrate the Party, celebrate Spring; celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026); celebrate the 14th National Party Congress, term 2026 - 2031 and the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026 - 2031 term.
Through activities, the unit focuses on practically taking care of the material and spiritual lives of near-poor households, households in difficult circumstances, workers, laborers, women, young people and vulnerable groups during the Lunar New Year. At the same time, strengthen coordination between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and socio-political organizations to create a widespread influence in the community.
The festival is scheduled to take place on January 29 at Dam Sen Cultural Park, with the participation of about 10,000 people. Within the framework of the program, the unit will organize a mini supermarket for 0 VND, along with many cultural activities and experiences such as sightseeing, taking photos at street corners on Tet holiday, wrapping Chung cakes, banh tet, folk games, recreating the space of traditional Tet.
In addition, a space to care for workers, laborers and children of workers with the theme "Tet sharing - Tet love" was also organized, through giving Tet gifts and necessities, creating conditions for workers and laborers in difficult circumstances to enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet warmly and affectionately.
