Phu Thuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City improves grassroots health capacity
Ho Chi Minh City - Phu Thuan Ward focuses on strengthening human resources, effectively exploiting facilities and completing basic health targets.
On September 19, the working group of Phu Thuan ward worked with the ward Health Station Party Cell.
Reporting at the meeting, Mr. Ho Van Nho - Head of Phu Thuan Ward Health Station - said that the unit is stepping up communication so that people clearly understand the regulations on grassroots health, in order to help people feel secure when examining and treating basic diseases.
However, health stations are still lacking in permanent professional personnel, while Party work is still facing difficulties due to changes in the organizational model; lacking permanent professional personnel to ensure state management at the grassroots level.
In his concluding remarks, Mr. Chau Xuan Dai Thang - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of Phu Thuan Ward People's Council acknowledged the efforts of the grassroots health sector in the transfer period. At the same time, it is recommended that the Party cell promote a sense of responsibility, focus on advising the Party Committee on people's health care and epidemic prevention in conjunction with Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW.
The Ward Party Secretary emphasized that health stations need to effectively exploit existing facilities, implement financial transparency, train and develop new party members. The unit also needs to strive to complete basic health targets according to the Resolution of the Ward Party Congress, such as by 2030, the vaccination rate for children under 1 year old will reach over 95% and the health insurance participation rate will reach over 97%.
At the same time, strengthen human resources and renovate facilities to meet national standards. Assign the Ward People's Committee to develop a Regulation to coordinate with the Health Station, and submit it to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee in October 2025.
