Lam Dong - After mistakenly transferring 2.5 billion VND to another person, a local resident was supported by the police to receive the entire amount.
On January 14, Bao Lam 3 Commune Police (Lam Dong Province) said that the unit had supported a resident to receive back 2.5 billion VND that had been mistakenly transferred to another person's account.
According to initial information, on the morning of January 7, Mr. Diep Nhu Lai (born in 1963, residing in village 6A, Bao Lam 3 commune) made a bank transaction, transferring money from his personal account to another account named "Hoang Van Ha", opened at VietinBank. After completing the transaction, Mr. Lai discovered that he had mistakenly transferred the recipient.
Because he could not contact the account owner, Mr. Lai went to Bao Lam 3 Commune Police to report and request support.
Upon receiving the information, Bao Lam 3 Commune Police quickly verified and coordinated with relevant units to clarify the account owner. Thereby, it was determined that Mr. Hoang Van Ha was the owner of the account opened at VietinBank, Tuyen Quang Branch.
Bao Lam 3 Commune Police directly contacted and explained the relevant legal regulations. After that, Mr. Hoang Van Ha proactively returned the entire amount of 2.5 billion VND to Mr. Diep Nhu Lai under the witness of the police force.
Receiving the mistaken transfer, Mr. Lai emotionally sent his thanks to Mr. Hoang Van Ha for his beautiful and humane actions.
