Preliminary list of 175 candidates for National Assembly and People's Council deputies of Lam Dong province

On February 3, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province informed that the unit had just successfully organized the second consultation conference to agree on the preliminary list of candidates for the 16th National Assembly and delegates of the Provincial People's Council for the 2026 - 2031 term.

By the end of February 1, 2026, agencies, units, and localities have completed the introduction of candidates for the 16th National Assembly, and delegates of the Provincial People's Council for the 2026–2031 term.

According to assessments, the introduction of candidates was carried out in accordance with regulations, ensuring the structure, composition, and number according to the results of the first consultation conference. Those who were introduced to run for election all achieved 100% of voters' confidence.

The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province has received the dossier of the person introduced for candidacy from the Provincial Election Commission, and made a book summarizing the background according to regulations.

This consultation conference discussed and voted 100% unanimously to make a preliminary list of candidates for the 16th National Assembly, and delegates of the Provincial People's Council for the 2026–2031 term.

Accordingly, there are 25 candidates for National Assembly deputies of the 16th term. Among them, 10 are ethnic minorities, 8 are religious dignitaries, and 2 are non-Party members.

For delegates of the Provincial People's Council for the term 2026 – 2031, after the first consultation conference, 3/153 people sent applications for resignation from running; the conference agreed on a preliminary list of 150 candidates.

Ms. Pham Thi Phuc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province emphasized that the unit continues to thoroughly review the dossiers of candidates. "The introduction of candidates must ensure compliance with standards, conditions and time according to the Election Law.

Immediately after this conference, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province will send the list to collect opinions from voters at their place of residence.

Ms. Phuc also requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of communes, wards, and special zones to quickly deploy the collection of opinions and comments, and the confidence of voters at their place of residence in candidates according to the law.
