Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen was introduced as a candidate for the 16th National Assembly

On January 16, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) held an expanded Presidium Conference to implement the process of introducing personnel to run for the 16th National Assembly.

Based on guiding documents and announcements on the structure allocation from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the National Assembly's Delegation Work Committee, through consultation rounds and collecting voters' opinions at the workplace, with a 100% approval rate, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), President of the Vietnam Women's Union - was unanimously introduced as a candidate for the 16th National Assembly; Ms. Tran Lan Phuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union - was introduced as a full-time National Assembly candidate for the 16th National Assembly.

At the conference, delegates expressed their high consensus; hoping that the candidates will become a solid bridge, promptly conveying the thoughts and aspirations of voters and women's members to the National Assembly, while contributing intellectually to major national decisions.

On behalf of those introduced as candidates for National Assembly deputies, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen respectfully thanked the trust and confidence of the delegates at the conference as well as the voters in the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union.

Affirming that this is not only personal prestige but also the prestige of the Vietnam Women's Union, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen affirmed that she will listen to and accept opinions from local people, especially women, to the National Assembly forum, thereby contributing to the issue of improving economic and political power for women.

President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen believes that the 14th National Party Congress will be a great success, opening a new era for the country and the Vietnam Women's Union will continue to promote the heroic, indomitable, loyal and steadfast tradition to excellently complete the tasks assigned by the Party and the People.

At the conference, 100% of delegates attending the conference voted unanimously to introduce Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen to run for the 16th National Assembly; 100% of delegates voted unanimously to introduce Ms. Tran Lan Phuong to run for the 16th full-time National Assembly.
