Passengers suddenly receive forgotten property on SP3 train
During cleaning and checking the carriage, a staff member of train SP3 discovered a black bag forgotten by a passenger and proceeded to return it to the owner.
On the morning of March 25, 2026, when train SP3 ended its journey from Hanoi to Lao Cai station, while cleaning and checking the carriage, attendants discovered a black bag left behind at bed number 17, carriage 5A.
Captain Vu Anh Dung and the working group conducted an inspection and made a record of the incident. Inside the bag were many valuable assets, including: more than 32 million VND in cash (many denominations from 50,000 VND to 500,000 VND), 4,600 Taiwan dollars (Taiwan, Chinese currency), with a total converted value of nearly 36 million VND. In addition, there were other papers and assets such as passports, mobile phones, gold metal jewelry and ATM cards.
Determining that this was an important asset of foreign tourists, the train crew quickly contacted and handed over all the intact assets to passengers at Lao Cai Railway Transport Station at 6:30 am on the same day.
Returning property to tourists not only shows the honesty and responsibility of officials and employees of the railway industry, but also contributes to spreading the image of friendly and kind Vietnamese people in the eyes of international friends. Property and passport returned in time have helped the tourist's journey become more complete and warmer.
