Nearly 30,000 Tet gifts for the poor and disadvantaged workers
Binh Ngo Tet gifts in 2026 for the poor and people in difficult circumstances are nearly 30,000 gifts.
On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front signed and issued Plan No. 96/KH-MTTW-BTT on coordinating visits and gifts for the poor, workers, and people in especially difficult circumstances on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026.
The content of the Plan clearly states that the activities of visiting and giving gifts to the poor, workers, and people in especially difficult circumstances during the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo in 2026 affirm the attention and care of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and organizations for all classes of people, poor people, workers, and people in especially difficult circumstances.
At the same time, he called on all levels, sectors, member organizations of the Front, organizations and individuals to pay attention to, encourage and support the poor, workers, and people in especially difficult circumstances so that every family and everyone has the opportunity to enjoy spring and celebrate Tet, especially poor households in border areas, islands, remote areas, ethnic minority areas, localities affected by natural disasters, epidemics, workers, laborers, and unemployed people...
Visiting and giving gifts must ensure the coordination and unity of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and socio-political organizations, member organizations to support poor households, union members, and members in difficult circumstances, avoid duplication or omission; use support funding sources in accordance with regulations, publicly, transparently, and effectively.
Regarding the subjects of visits, gifts and funding sources, the content of the Plan clearly states that the budget for visits and gifts for the poor, poor households, near-poor households, people in especially difficult circumstances, households in especially difficult circumstances is arranged by the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front from the Central Fund "For the Poor" and other appropriate funding sources.
Along with that, the gift fund for workers and laborers is arranged by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor according to the organization's system; gift fund for people with disabilities, the elderly without shelter, children orphans, people in especially difficult circumstances, people affected by natural disasters, epidemics... is mobilized and arranged by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society according to the organization's system; gift fund for union members, association members, and people in other difficult circumstances is mobilized and arranged by socio-political organizations and member organizations.
According to the Plan, the total number of gifts sent to the poor and people in difficult circumstances is 30,000 gifts.
In particular, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front arranged the allocation of gifts for visiting and giving Tet gifts in 34 provinces/cities of Party and State leaders and the Vietnam Fatherland Front, which are 10,200 gifts with a total amount of 13,260 billion VND, including 300 gifts for each province, each gift worth 1 million VND in cash and a gift bag worth 300,000 VND.
The leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front visited and presented gifts to 4 localities, each locality had 200 gifts, each gift worth 1 million VND in cash and a gift bag worth 300,000 VND, so the total was 800 gifts with an amount of 1.04 billion VND; at the same time, they reserved 1,650 gifts to serve the leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front to visit and encourage the people according to practical requirements.
The Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front also proposed that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor arrange for leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front to visit and give Tet gifts to workers and laborers in each locality, each gift worth VND300,000 in cash and a gift bag worth VND300,000.
Propose that the Vietnam Red Cross Society and other member organizations mobilize to visit and give gifts to people with disabilities, the elderly without shelter, orphans, people in especially difficult circumstances, people affected by natural disasters and epidemics, strive for each locality to have about 200 gifts, each worth 1 million VND in cash and a gift bag worth 300,000 VND.
The time to visit and give gifts for the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo in 2026 is expected to be from January 26, 2026 to February 13, 2026 (December 8 to December 25, lunar calendar).
